Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We had mee rebus and roti sarang burung. The roti is delicious. The mee rebus taste however is confused with mee bandung. The gravy has sort of peanuts and the taste is mild and not distinctive of mee rebus. The kopi o butter was tasteful. Ambience is warm. Service is fast. Parking is limited. If full, you have to park at a busy roadside."
"Lempeng pisang was good with the kick of the sambal. Roti Titab & Roti Canai Sarang Burung was okey. The owner was mindful of the customers very polite..attentive to the customers. Kudos for that. A recommended place for breakfast. Parking is quite limited, if full then had to park at the roadside."
"The vibe was likely 70s kopitam and it was worth it.. However, it still need to improve their menu in order to compete the well-known kopitiam in town.. My favourite are roti titab, half boild eggs and teh tarik.. Nasi lemak was simple, nothing special and the sambal was so little Overall, it is worth it and I would come again"
"Nostagic take on ol'skool (maybe for Gen Z-ers) Kedai Kopi or coffee shop. Replete with 70's music and deco, and don't forget "Jalan Bapak Kau" road sign.. Simple but tasty daily Malay food to enjoy minus the FOMO price. Great crowd (we were here on a Saturday morning for breakfast) and lucky to get a parking space between the oddly spaced houses. And considering the crowd (and the cars queing to park outside), we were lucky to get a table for three immediately upon entry. Service was quick and as mentioned, decent realistic price. Enjoy and indulge .."
"Overall, this place is quite nice with a variety of menu choices. They also offer a kids’ menu, which is a plus. The place is wheelchair accessible, but seating is limited to the lower area only. The food was good and satisfying. Portion size is decent and worth the price. I had bihun soto, while my partner had lontong darat (highly recommended!). We also added kaya toast for dessert and shared an iced tea (less sweet), which was well balanced in taste. However, I feel the area near the dishwashing section needs improvement. While eating, there was an unpleasant drain smell that made me feel slightly nauseous. Improving the environment around that area would really enhance the dining experience. Seating in other areas was totally fine. Thank you for serving us!"
"Breakfast for 2, Roti Sarang + Nasi Lemak Kerang + Fried + Teh tarik + Kopi butter = about 30RM. If you love old malay songs and vibes, this is a nice place to have breakfast. Food was cooked well and fast. Nasi lemak was rich with santan, sambal was medium spicy with big ikan bills, sliced onions and big kerang! Roti sarang was good too. Crispy roti and 2 x sunny side up. Gravy was a little thin but has flavour of mutton /lentil curry. Roti sarang was good with nasi lemak sambal. Teh tarik, not overly sweet and kopi butter was excellent, well balanced with salty butter on top."
"Food was okay, price is a bit pricey on some item and standard on majority of the food. Cuma staff a bit lacking in customer service skills? Idk I was asking for help with the baby chair, totally being ignored by the staff cause he said I need to take it by myself. A little bit disappointed because it never happened before while visiting other restaurants."
"I've been here many many times. A staple breakfast spot that has an oldies theme with oldies affordable price range. This place is always busy on weekend & parking can be a bit difficult. But worth to come back again."
